May 22, 1918 - Inducted at Atlanta, GA. Signal Corps training at Camp Sherman, Chillicothe, Ohio. Company C 325th Field Signal Battalion to July 13, 1918; HQ Detachment 325th Field Signal Battalion to discharge. Served overseas from June 9, 1918 to February 27, 1919. Honorably discharged Sgt. SC on March 21, 1919. Served in World War II. Awarded the Certificate of Merit and the Selective Service Medal.

Occupation

Worked with his father and brother William Harold Cunningham in business as “S. Cunningham and Sons.” He was a member of the Empire Real Estate Board.

Education

Graduated from Clark University in Atlanta. Earned M. A. in business administration from Harvard University.
